IDEAL LOCATION NEAR LOURGAS BAY IN KEFALONIA

Nestled amidst olive trees, this delightful villas are situated in an area known as Simotata above Lourdas Bay.Located in the foothills of the impressive Mount Ainos, Villas elevated position affords stunning panoramic views. Just 5 minutes’ drive away is Vlahata village, a charming setting with a bakery, mini market and cafe. A little further is Lourdas resort, where you’ll find a host of tavernas, shops and a magnificent beach. This location is ideal for enjoying the beautiful Kefalonia scenery with everything you need close by.

Lourdas Beach is the longest stretch on the south coast of Kefalonia, and often referred to as one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The long sand and shingle beach has sunbeds and parasols for hire, as well as some local tavernas nearby serving lunch and drinks. From here you can walk along the sand to Lithero and across to Kanali Beach. A little further along the coast is Trapezaki Beach and then the sheltered cove of St. Thomas.

Lourdas has a great location if you want to explore Kefalonia. In one direction is Kefalonia’s capital, Argostoli with a pretty harbour and museums. You can book a glass bottomed boat trip to hopefully see the indigenous Loggerhead turtles. In the opposite direction, around 30 minutes’ drive away, you can go to Skala, an incredible long sandy beach with views of the mainland Greece. One of Kefalonia’s most famous landmarks is the Drogarati Cave, a large underground chamber 37 metres below ground, lined with dripping stalagmites. The creatively named Chamber of Exaltation has marvellous acoustics and is often used for concerts. From Lourdas, it can be reached in around 50 minutes, by car. Mount Ainos towers above the Lourdas coastline and is well worth exploring the national park around it if you enjoy hiking. The footpaths will lead you through pine forests until you are rewarded with incredible views across the island. Family fun
